Back in March we heard that veteran actor Robert Loggia had put his Bel Air, California home on the market. But now with a new price cut and fresh pictures it's time to take a closer look. I'll admit, at first glance this house didn't seem that appealing. It was built in 1968 and the exterior is a bit dated. It's actually rather light and bright on the interior. The five-bedroom home has a nice open floor plan with a double-height living room. The recently redone kitchen features floors that include both wood and granite that mimics the granite countertops.The pot racks with baskets hanging off it placed over the stove top is both a fire hazard and a decorating move that would give the Real Estalker Mama a nervous breakdown. The kitchen is next to a family dining area but there is also a separate dining room.

The home has nice views of the city in the distance and the two large upstairs bedrooms feature glass doors leading directly to a terrace outside. The master bedroom has been done in a heavy wood-paneled style that doesn't seem to suit the rest of the house but works well with the green marble master bath as an older gentleman's private lair. The two downstairs suites can be used for offices or guests. The home is on a half-acre lot and the backyard includes a pool and spa area. Berg Properties Celebrity Big Time Listings reports that Loggia purchased the house in 1996 for $1.45 million and renovated it. It was listed at $3.65 million but has now been reduced to $3.295 million.

Another episode in the soap opera known as Nic Cage and the revolving real estate deals has begun. The New York Observer reports that Nicolas Cage has once again put his 3,550-square-foot apartment in the Museum Tower back on the market. It was briefly on the market last year for a day or so last year but now the apartment is for sale again for the same price of $9.75 million. The listing calls it "LA glamor in the heart of NYC." The home consists of two adjacent apartments, with internal access to each other on the 48th floor. The home has gorgeous views especially from the corner living room with a shag rug which shows views to the Empire State Building and down to The Statue of Liberty as well as west to the Hudson River. The master suite opens out on the city and has a huge master bath with a separate tub and steam shower. The other apartment offer space for guests and also includes a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. This home is listed at $9.75 million the same price it was at last year.

Nicolas Cage has pulled his Bel Air home off the market but still has several other homes on the market including a home in Las Vegas, two homes in New Orleans and a home in Rhode Island.

You've probably seen the first picture of new twins that Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick recently brought home. The gorgeous twins and their family are also posed on some pretty beautiful sheets. The couple picked up the D. Porthault taupe jete de fleurs linens (and matching terry) at the D. Porthault New York boutique on Park and 58th in preparation of the twins' homecoming a few months ago. The queen-sized set costs $1150.

As we mentioned a little while back, the New York Observer recently reported that casino mogul Steve Wynn's New York City apartment was up for sale. Now thanks to a post from the Real Estalker, we found out that the listing has gone live. Wynn's Fifth Avenue palace is a two-bedroom apartment that measures around 3,500 square feet.

Steve and Elaine Wynn are getting a divorce (actually it's their second divorce, they were first married in 1963 but divorced in 1986 and then remarried five years later). Their full-floor apartment was once a four bedroom home but the renovation trimmed the number of rooms and expanded the spaces with an eye toward the grand and bland. The main living area was once the living room, formal dining room and library and has views over Central Park. The master suite was created from three bedrooms and has his and hers bathrooms.

As the floor plan reveals the resulting layout is a bit odd. The master bedroom has been placed next to the living room to take advantage of the best views but this means that the two bathrooms are sequential rather than side by side. The kitchen is directly opposite the second master bathroom and the dining room has been shoved to the back of the apartment right in front of the laundry and utility areas. The home has been redone in shades that design books likely refer to as variations of honey, taupe, caramel and rattan but mostly it's just beige, elegant, but beige and with a hotel's anonymity. Particularly curious is the kitchen which seems to have matching granite floors and counters. The apartment is priced at an outrageous $25 million but it seems doubtful that the Wynns will get their price.

Comedic actress Kristin Johnston was recently signed to a stage production at the Lucille Lortel Theater this fall so she's not leaving New York City but she may be leaving the West Village. Cityfile found the listing for Johnston's condo. Her colorful duplex measures 1,541 square feet and has two bedrooms. As the listing puts it, the best part is the solarium which enjoys a south-facing view of the planted terrace and has built-in seating and glass walls. In the main space a dining upholstered banquette seats 10 and the kitchen has an open counter to the living room. The style is a bit eclectic and busy with a hodgepodge of wallpapers and clusters of vibrantly-colored accent pillows. It is listed at $1.795 million.

Shaquille O'Neal's name doesn't seem to have done much for selling his own home but maybe his former rental will have better luck. Shaq finally sold his Miami home after it had been on the market for years getting $2 million less than he paid for it and just about half of his original $32 million asking price. A home that he rented in Paradise Valley, Arizona has gone through a deep price cut too. Both Shaquille O'Neal and Emmitt Smith did each rent this large house for a year. Shaquille O'Neal recently moved out with his family.

The five-bedroom home was built in 2002 and has approximately 8981 square feet of space. The grounds include a pool and there is a master bath that features a tub that might even have been large enough for Shaq. The home is on a two-acre lot and is located near golf courses and restaurants. The listing agent reports that the home was originally offered at $6.5 million but it can now be had for $3.6 million.

The coming months and years will likely see a flood of Michael Jackson memorabilia. Some will be common or have only a tangential relationship to the superstar. Others that have a direct connection to Jackson's iconography will be more valuable. Michael Jackson wore many gloves while performing and so they will be of varying prices but one of only two Michael Jackson electric-white gloves used during the 1984 Victory Tour is likely to fetch a high price when Profiles in History auctions it off in October.

The glove was consigned by its designer Ted Shell who went on the Victory Tour to protect and maintain the glove which is covered with bugle beads, Austrian crystal rhinestones and fitted with 50 small lights which were powered by a nine-volt battery in the cuff. After the tour Jackson gave Shell one of the gloves and kept the other. Joseph Maddalena of Profiles in History estimated the value at $60,000 to $80,000, but it could sell for much more. The glove is one of many Jackson items that will go up for sale at the auction on October 1 and 2, 2009. Other items include costumes, a platinum record for the 20 millionth copy of "Thriller" and one of his fedoras, another of Jackson's signature accessories.

In what is likely to be the first of several auctions, Michael Jackson's estimated $500 million debt was chipped away by $205,000. This is far ahead of the initial estimates of $10,000 to $12,000, showing signs of life in at least one corner of the auction market today.

The auction was not a knee-jerk reaction to the entertainer's death, as it had been scheduled prior to his demise. Items brought under the gavel include a sheer, long-sleeve shirt from the 1984 "Victory" tour. Clearly, the unexpected death pushed prices higher. The shirt went for $52,500, much more than the $1,000 to $1,500 anticipated, and a handwritten letter was purchased for $12,500 – up substantially from the $200 to $300 estimate.

Also on the block were a painting of Mickey Mouse conducting with Pluto singing (acrylic on cardboard) – signed ... twice ... by Michael Jackson. The first painting was in black paint, and the second was in white paint, over the original signature. It sold for $25,000, well above the $1,000 to $1,500 target.

Like quarterback Dan Marino, former NFL quarterback Bernie Kosar has a home in Weston, Florida for sale. But Kosar's situation is a bit more urgent. Kosar has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection with his top 20 debts clicking in at $19.5 million including around $1.5 million to his former team the Cleveland Browns. Small wonder then that his Florida home is up for sale. Kosar has not paid the property taxes on the home for the last couple of years.

Kosar's home in Weston is a 9,900 square-foot mansion on the lake which has a large backyard area with a summer kitchen, pool, spa and cabanas. It is located in the same community, Windmill Ranch Estates, that Marino lives in and the home has a similar Florida Mediterranean style. This ample residence includes an office/library, a kitchen and a separate butler's kitchen and seven bedrooms. This home is listed at $3.5 million.

Kosar's financial woes seem to stem from a number of factors including Florida's depressed real estate market and some bad investing advice. His top creditor is Florida Bank which is owed $9.7 million in real estate development foreclosures. He also owed KeyBank $3.2 million for loan guarantees and a personal line of credit and owes his ex-wife Babette Kosar $3 million from the couple's divorce settlement. Like many ex-football players, he was also in the restaurant business. His Bernie's Steakhouse, a Miami-area restaurant closed last year. Kosar is said to be optimistic about his ability to get out from under his debt and he has many supporters in Cleveland and elsewhere cheering him on.

Action star Jason Statham may life in a home in mid-Century home in the Hollywood Hills but he also owns a spare and bare apartment in the Broadway Building on Vine in Hollywood. Statham's unit at the Broadway is on the eight floor and takes up 2,140 square feet with two bedrooms. The Real Estalker Mama reports that he picked up this home for $1,543,515. If this was an investment property it may not have been such a great investment. He has listed the home at $1.395 million.

The corner apartment has views over Hollywood Blvd. including a nice view of the Capital Records building.The living room tries for the sexy lair look with a huge white sofa, low slung coffee table and white shag rug. There's a clean and cool kitchen and a pair of rather clinical bathrooms. Not a lot of warmth in this place.

The Boradway does have a few celebrity owners including Danny Masterson, WIlmer Valderama, Jack Osbourne, Emma Henning and Charlize Theron. It offers Kelly Wearstler designed common areas, valet parking, a fitness center and the main draw a swimming pool, spa, sun deck, outdoor fireplace and lounging cabanas up on the roof over looking the lights of Hollywood.

Last June former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield saw his massive 54,000 square foot home in Georgia slip into foreclosure. Now it looks like Holyfield is facing foreclosure again. The home has been listed for an auction scheduled for July 7 because Holyfield is in default on his $10 million loan.

Holyfield told The Associated Press that a settlement would be reached before the 235-acre estate is auctioned. The massive home has 109 rooms, three kitchens and a bowling alley. Holyfield has earned more than $200 million in the ring but has faced lawsuits over missed child support payments for some of his 11 children. His last fight was in December when he lost to WBA champion Nikolai Valuev.

Two and a half Catalina? That's the property website name for the home being put up for sale by Charlie Sheen's wife Brooke Mueller. The pair, who recently added twins to their family, have listed their 1927 Mediterranean in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles. The LA Times Hot Property column broke the news that the home is listed for $3.697 million and reports that the Sheens spent the past year restoring the gated villa but are now looking for a home with a bit more room.

This classic Southern California Spanish-style home has four bedrooms in 4,179 square feet. White walls contrast against dark wood floors and a wood-beamed ceiling. The remodeled kitchen features a steel stove, green cabinets and a patio-like stone floor. Some of the decorating elements are a bit busy. A bathroom appears to have a leather-coated wall. The palatial glass cabinet of a shower in the master bedroom has a tile design that while striking, does not exactly inspire relaxation. The master bedroom does have a great private balcony area that is partially covered so you have your choice of sun or shade. The property includes a fountain in the tiled front courtyard and in the back there is a pool with a stone waterfall. This home is listed at $3.697 million. Property Shark's records show that Mueller picked up the home (through an LLC) for $2.575 million in late 2007.

Last month Joan Rivers put her New York City penthouse on the market for $25 million as part of her decision to move to California to be closer to her daughter, Melissa. It turns out that her Connecticut country house is also on the market. The Real Estalker led us to the listing for Rivers' home in New Milford, Connecticut.

Her four-bedroom country home is a bit more relaxed than her Manhattan abode although it still has touches that make it uniquely Joan Rivers such as the obligatory leopard print rug in one of rooms. The Real Estalker unearthed an article about the home in Architectural Digest from February 2003 in which Rivers, with her characteristically sharp tongue, said the home had looked like a Denny's before she got to it. She bought the property for $1,438,400 in 2000. After taking ownership, she had the home pulled down to the foundation and then created the current home salvaging only the stone fireplace in the living room and a few stone columns from the original home.

Rivers favors an elegant style fussied up with all sorts of expensive antiques. The many tchotchkes are all high quality, there are just too many of them. For example, it's hard to imagine why an oil painting has been stuck above the stove in the kitchen or why blue-and-white ceramics teeter on a heavy beam above a bed in one of the guest rooms. The master bedroom is a girly pink fantasy complete with a canopy bed facing what appears to be an illustration of Joan and Melissa Rivers hanging over the fireplace. And the less said about the statuary in the master bath, the better. The over-75-acre property includes a swimming pool and pool house, detached barn/garage and a private pond. This home is listed at $6.5 million through Klemm real estate.

Working for Oprah certainly has its perks. The AFP is reporting that Oprah Winfrey celebrated her 55th birthday in Barcelona with 1,700 of her employees and their families. The party took place over the weekend at Poble Espanyol, a popular tourist destination with shops, bars and restaurants. Her lucky guests will spend three days in the city before embarking on a 10-day Mediterranean cruise aboard the Norwegian Gem liner sailing to Italy, Turkey, Greece, and Malta. The ship has 11 bars and lounges, 12 restaurants, pool, hot tubs, a beauty salon, spa, casino, cigar club, library and even a bowling alley. Oprah is said to be spending around $5,400 per person on the cruise.

Last month we reported that stationer Mrs. John L. Strong, one of the world's leading boutique luxury brands whose customers included Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Oprah Winfrey and the late Duke and Duchess of Windsor, was shutting down after 80 years. Many of them were caught out short when the New York-based firm abruptly ceased all its operations; as a result the costly handcrafted metal dies and engraving plates (above) used for luxurious engraved stationery which customers had stored at Strong's for decades may never be recoverable.

Another luxury stationer, Dempsey & Carroll, is coming to the rescue. It is actually a much older establishment than Strong's, founded in 1878 by engraver John Dempsey and businessman George D. Carroll in New York. The firm soon became a society staple, providing the best in engraved cards and writing paper to the city's Gilded Age elite, a tradition continued to this day. Through the end of the year D&C is extending a special offer of reduced cost for custom engraving to all former Mrs. John L. Strong clients placing new orders, and has set about recreating their precious stationery.

Dempsey & Carroll custom stationery is created using hand-engraved steel dies and copper plates made to specification. Words and images are cut into the metal in an incuse fashion, a method similar to that used in manufacturing coins that has changed little since the 16th century process of engraving ascended to an art form. D&C is one of only a handful of stationers still using these distinctive hand-engraving techniques to create beautiful luxury paper products with their own unique stamp of history and tradition.
