The
Dom got the gold stud treatment so why not a bottle of sparkling wine spackled with diamonds? A bottle of 2004 Kattus Hochriegl, a sparkling wine from Austria decorated with 49 diamonds
will be auctioned off next month for charity. The bottle is worth 10,000 euros (over $13,000) and will be auctioned off January 22. For those of you who would rather have your diamonds on your body than on your bottle but still like a bit of sparkle, there is a limited edition
Swarovksi crystal covered edition available.

WOW! I CAN SLEEP TONIGHT, THIS INFORMATION JUST TOTALLY PUT MY MIND AT EASE. NOW I KNOW THAT SOME A-HOLE WITH TOO MUCH MONEY WILL BE SPENDING IT ON A BOTTLE OF WINE INSTEAD OF GIVING TO CHARITIES THAT WOULD HELP THE U.S. AND OUR ECONOMY, THE HOMELESS, THE SICK, THE DYING, OUR VETS, OUR ELDERLY, AND OUR CHILDREN. WHAT A WASTE!

I think you missed the part about it being auctioned off for charity. You might want to brush up on your reading skills.

It amazes me that many people have more money than sense. I've spent my life trying to bring products that work for a reasonable price.

O.K. Brandy & Rob...did either of you really read the article? The bottle IS being auctioned off FOR CHARITY. You both now rest at ease. Peace.

For crying out loud.I live in a neighborhood where every day a man knocks on my door and asks for a cup of coffee. I leave a little in the pot always so he can have it. Will whoever buys that bottle please pry off just one diamond and send it to me. I promise I'll use it only for groceries!

The bottle IS being auctioned FOR CHARITY.

I agree with Brandy. Too much money, too much waiste. There are way too many people in need of food, and shelter. Waisting money on a diamond studded glorified bottle of wine is a waist. Give me the money I'll know what to do with it. I get hit up for cash at least a dozen times a day. Where I live; with that kind of money to burn, there's a lot of homeless people that would be happy to be fed, given shelter and a warm bed. No wonder: "It's easier for a camal to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven." Quote by Jesus in the Holy Bible.
Frank Jan 3rd 2007 5:40PM
Chelsea the charity is probably for some lame excuse for a tax right off that will benifit the rich. Don't rest in peace.
blanche Jan 3rd 2007 8:26PM
why is it that lalips can post here this isnt a place for free ads who gives a fiddlers fart about your lame ass lip color? go to sephora and get real 24 hour lip color from a known manufacturer not some fly by night website
karen Jan 3rd 2007 6:37PM
frank... its waste. Ok. not waiste. thanks.

If you're all so concered about charity, you should be giving to charity instead of wasting your money on internet service griping about other people not giving to charity. (the wine bottle is being auctioned for charity) Please note: A glass of red wine each day helps with circulation and helps prevent heart disease. 1 glass of wine + 1 glass of water = NO HANGOVER. So drink up BLOGGERS!!!

Amen Brandy!! I could not have said it better. America has become a sick, materialistic society like the Romans. Unless we regain our pre WWll values and rid ourselves of the "were No. 1" thinking; we will face a bleak future.
jerome liefert Jan 3rd 2007 6:54PM
Karen, we all know what Frank meant. I would venture tou have mis-spelled a word in the past. But, thanks for being so astute.
Rebecca Jan 3rd 2007 7:20PM
well..if you read..it IS being auctioned for charity, but i do agree putting diamonds on a WINE bottle is a little too much. but honestly, its better money go to organized charity than to the random homeless guy because they might just go out and get drugs or some other bad stuff.
John MArtie Jan 3rd 2007 7:30PM
Brandy,
If your so inclined to tell others how to spend their hard earned money why dont you give YOURS away

I'm curious to know WHICH charity... Seems anyone with the money to burn on an auction of a wine bottle, of all things, would have enough to donate to several charities, and I hope they do. Not holding my breath, however.

Always have the best you can afford. Here's a house with acreage and waterfront on Puget Sound -- the best!

Hopefully the charity is REAL and not a 'charitable foundation' because by law a 'charitable foundation' need only actually donate 10% of all it collects. That's why mega rich families including royalty and billionaires always seem to open 'foundations' hey it's a great money maker except for the fact that it hurts decent people who donate and honestly believe every dime is going to be put to good use. But now I am on a rant.....
